Welcome to Wharf Notaries, a trusted UK notarial service provider. Our experienced team specialises in notarising, apostilling, and legalising documents for Qatar, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Whether for business or personal use, we make the legalisation process straightforward and efficient.
Documents intended for use in Qatar must first be apostilled by the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), then presented to the Consular Section of the Qatari Embassy for attestation.
The fee is £94.20 for personal and educational documents, or £106.20 for company documents.
Typically 10 working days.
Documents notarised and apostilled together as a bundle are not accepted under any circumstances.
The Qatari Embassy in London is also responsible for legalising documents from UK Overseas Territories (Anguilla, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Gibraltar, Turks and Caicos Islands), UK Crown Dependencies (Jersey, Guernsey, Isle of Man), the Republic of Ireland, Norway, and Iceland. These documents must first be legalised by the relevant authorities in those regions and, in the case of UK Overseas Territories, re-stamped by the FCDO before submission to the Qatari Embassy.
For degree certificates, the accompanying grades transcript and a cover letter from the educational institution confirming the qualification’s authenticity, mode and place of study, examination location, title of the award, course duration, and study dates are required. The transcript and cover letter must not be bound with the degree certificate as a bundle. Only diplomas, BA/BSc, MA, or PhD degrees are accepted for legalisation; online or distance-learning qualifications are not accepted.
Certain commercial documents (e.g., bills of lading, certificates of origin, invoices) must be submitted through the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce, and an ad valorem charge may apply.
