FCDO Legalisation for Iceland
Our experienced team specialises in notarising, apostilling, and legalising documents for Iceland, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Whether for business or personal use, we make the legalisation process straightforward and efficient.
FCDO Document Legalisation Process
For documents intended for use in Iceland, the process is as follows:
- Apostille at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO):
The first step in the legalisation process is to submit your document to the FCDO for an Apostille. The Apostille certifies the authenticity of the document’s signature, seal, or stamp, making it legally valid in Iceland. Since Iceland is a member of the Hague Convention, the Apostille is the only legalisation required for your document to be recognised by Icelandic authorities.
2. No Further Legalisation Required:
Once your document has been apostilled by the FCDO, no further legalisation steps are necessary. The Apostille ensures that the document is legally recognised in Iceland without the need for additional consular or embassy verification.
