FCDO Document Legalisation Process
For documents related to land that are intended for use in the Seychelles, they do not need to be legalised if they are signed or authenticated by a UK notary public. This is stipulated under section 60(2)(a) of the Seychelles Land Registration Act 1967 (as amended).
For all other documents, legalisation by Apostille is required. This Apostille is issued by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), as mandated by section 28 of the Seychelles Evidence Act 1882 (as amended).
